State Water Heaters

When it comes to building durability into a product, nobody does it like State.  In fact, State tests their water heaters in some of the most hostile environments and under the toughest conditions to ensure they last longer and provide years of unfailing service.  State water heater components are manufactured to strict standards.  They have even developed enamels that flex with extremes of water temperatures to ensure longer product life.

State Water Heaters

For durability and dependability, nothing beats State.

Get Up to $1,500 in Tax Credit
If you’re like most homeowners, saving money on utility bills is a top priority. Bringing an environmentally friendly, high-efficiency water heater into your home can be a good start. Congress recently increased residential tax credits for energy-efficient home improvements. A number of State high-efficiency water heaters are now eligible for a tax credit of up to 30% (with a cap of $1,500) off the purchase and installation price.

There are important limitations on this tax credit, however.

First, this is a single tax credit that can be used on a variety of “qualifying energy improvements” and “property expenditures.” You may claim a maximum of 30% (with a cap of $1,500) off of your “qualified energy improvements” or “property expenditures.” That means if you purchase and install a qualifying furnace and claim $700 of the tax credit for the purchase and installation of your furnace, you have only $800 of the tax credit left to claim on your other qualifying expenditures. However, you can use the entire credit on a single product and installation.

Second, the credit is limited to $1,500 for tax years 2009 and 2010 combined. If you claim all $1,500 on qualifying expenditures in 2009, you have used up the available tax credit and cannot claim anything on your 2010 tax return. However, if you use only $900 in 2009, you may still claim the remaining $600 in 2010.

To get your tax credit, you must purchase and install an eligible State water heater into your primary residence between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2010. Save your receipt and use IRS 2009 Tax Form 5695 (available in late 2009 or early 2010) to claim your credit on your 2009 or 2010 tax return. Click here for details

Which models are eligible?

State Premier® Power-Vent and tankless units that boast thermal efficiency of 90% or higher or an EF value of .82 or higher are eligible for this offer.

All State models listed below qualify for the tax credit when installed in a residential application before December 31, 2010.

Floor Heating From Nuheat

Nuheat is a clean soundless system that brings warmth to virtually any space. Nuheat Floor Heating Systems provide radiant zone heating, which is very energy efficient. Zone heating using a programmable thermostat means heating room by room, use by use - heat only where and when you want it.

Electric radiant heat allows homeowners to lower their central heating system while still being comfortable. It offers an energy saving alternative to keeping the forced air heating system running throughout the entire house and can help reduce a home's overall energy consumption.

Nuheat

Reducing a home's sole reliance on a forced air system by adding Nuheat also creates a healthy home as Nuheat does not generate any dust or air born pollutants. The system itself has no particle or material decomposition.

Nuheat Floor Heating Systems provide soothing warmth to various types of flooring surfaces including tile, stone, granite, laminate and engineered wood.

All Nuheat Floor Heating Systems are covered by a 25-year warranty, are energy efficient, and can be controlled using a variety of programmable and non-programmable thermostat options.

Nuheat

The applications for Nuheat can go beyond the bathroom and the kitchen, and can serve as much more than just a luxury. If rooms in your home comply with modern insulation requirements for your region, Nuheat can act as an efficient heat source. This means less dependence on additional heat sources, as well as reduced energy costs associated with heating. However, for rooms with lower insulation levels (in older homes), additional heat sources may still be required, especially if upgrading insulation values proves difficult. Upgrading your insulation, however, regardless of your heat source, will not only keep your house warmer but also lower heating bills.

Nuheat produces radiant heat, the most comfortable and energy efficient form of heating. Nuheat's electric under-floor heat system is an economical floor heating system. A 30 square foot heated area of Nuheat, for example, will only use the same electricity as three 100-watt light bulbs. Homeowners can further reduce their energy costs by using energy efficient programmable thermostats.

REHAU Radiant Heating

Radiant heating is an energy-efficient system that radiates warm, even heat. REHAU’s system works by circulating warm water through a network of cross-linked polyethylene pipes placed within the floor. Energy efficient, it works with a variety of heat sources and floor coverings.

Traditional heating systems simply heat the air. Radiant heating radiates heat evenly and consistently. Quiet, clean, and economical, the system is versatile enough for installation in new homes, or renovations.

REHAU Radiant Heating
  • Room temperatures can be individually controlled using multiple thermostats
  • Warm, even heating allows for a lower thermostat setting to maintain the same comfort level
  • Versatile installation options
  • No noisy fans or dry blown air
  • Creates a comfortable environment with accurate and steady temperature control
  • Economical, reducing operating costs by up to 30%
  • Wet installations are common in new homes; dry installations are common when a poured floor is not practical
  • Radiant heating is quiet and clean; it does not distribute dust or allergens

Radiant heating is versatile; it can be the primary heat source or serve along with other heating systems. Applications include schools, assisted living centers, auditoriums, barns, and warehouses, in addition to residential use of course.

REHAU's patented RAUPANEL system is an innovative “dry” method of installing radiant heating systems. It offers optimal performance and responds quickly to heating requirements, providing uniform, comfortable heat in a single room or throughout the home.

It is compatible with commonly used floor coverings, and installation is viable without a concrete over-pour, making it ideal for retrofit applications, as well as new construction. The system consists of aluminum panels, wood return bends, wood furring strips, and 3/8” RAUPEX® O2 Barrier pipe.

Hydronic Heating With Peerless Boilers

A hydronic heating system is both practical and efficient. It is also versatile, allowing you to heat your home with conventional radiators or baseboards as well as providing you with the ability to add other unique heating options to your system - including the Peerless® Partner® indirect-fired water heater to fulfill your domestic water heating needs.

Other hydronic options include:

Peerless Boilers
  • Radiant systems (floor heating, radiant panels, towel warming racks, etc.)
  • Snow-melting applications
  • Tankless coils
  • Hydronic coils for enhancing the efficiency of electric heat-pump applications

Hydronic heating – or transferring heat by water or steam – is the most practical, dependable, efficient and versatile method of heating your home. Hydronic heating systems work by pumping heated boiler water or steam through sealed systems, warming baseboards, radiators, in-floor radiant tubing, or other hydronic devices. Heat is then gently transferred outward to other objects in the room, in a consistent, even manner.

Because hydronic systems heat by convection and radiation, there is no need for fans or blowers. Unlike the high levels of dust, dirt, allergens and germs found in homes heated with warm air furnaces and heat pumps, hydronic heating systems keep your home clean and healthy. For this reason, many hospitals and schools choose hydronic heating systems. Hydronic heating systems are also very quiet. There is no noise from air moving in ducts, no loud blowers as with furnaces, and no large motors working to run the system.

Another beneficial aspect of hydronic systems is the ability to divide your home into heating zones. This allows you to control the heat in each zone with separate thermostats – a great benefit when heating multi-story homes.

Everyone wants efficient heating -- and a hydronic system is an excellent choice! Because warm water or steam travels through a completely sealed piping system to exactly where it is intended, little energy is wasted. In forced air systems, energy is “blown” through ducts to spaces where heat is unnecessary or unwanted.

The overall practicality, efficiency and versatility of a hydronic heating system is based on one key element—the boiler.

Through experience, technology and innovation, Peerless continues to be a top manufacturer in the hydronic heating industry. We manufacture boilers for a variety of applications:

  • Residential and Commercial
  • Gas and Oil-fired
  • Hot Water and Steam Systems
  • Direct-Vent and Natural Draft Venting

http://www.peerlessboilers.com/blank.gifPeerless offer boilers in many sizes and variations, with options to fit your unique heating needs. Plus, many of our residential boilers are ENERGY STAR® compliant – an important factor in today’s economic climate and rising fuel costs!

For domestic hot water options, Peerless offers the Peerless® Partner®- a complete line of indirect-fired water heaters. Also available from Peerless is the Pavilion IAQ system, which provides year round central heating, cooling and indoor air quality. These products, combined with any of our boilers, provide complete home comfort
When should you choose a hydronic heating system?

  • Replacing your old heating system
  • Building a new home
  • Changing your existing heating system (including converting from one fuel type to another)
